We'll combine a coach ride and walking to explore all the sights and secrets of Zagreb. As you ride you'll have the chance to see the Lower Town, part of the city built in the 19th and 20th century, and its sights: Marshal Tito Square, Mažuranić Square, Zrinjski Square, Croatian National Theatre, Mimara Museum, Fascism Victims Square and Lotršćak Tower. You'll also visit the Mirogoj Cemetery, where numerous renowned Croats are buried, which is famous for its ambience. Then you'll return to the city centre, visit the old part of the city, Grič and Kaptol, and learn about many interesting historical facts and city legends. We'll also visit Slavonia and find out about its wines. According to an old saying: “A day without wine is like a day without sunshine!” Wines are part of a rich Croatian ethnological tradition. This is an adventurous trip for curious wine-lovers looking for new sensations for their palates but also for those who like nature that offers colourful landscapes, gentle hills and relaxing scenery. We'll visit wine cellars. We'll taste sharp, highly complex wines which are bold and original: Malvasia, Teran, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Muscat and Chardonnay. Wine has been grown on this rich soil for millennia. Although wines of prominent wine makers have been awarded winning medals, they still compete to produce even more noble wines. However, in the end it will be up to you to judge their quality and taste.
